Summer is the Best Season
“Aahhh.. don’t you just love summer?”
“It's such a nice, warm season to play and do activities”
Do you know why else I like summer?
“Well…. I’m here to tell you why I like summer and why I don't
like winter. Warm vs freezing… the choice is easy for me.
Warmer weather is better because in winter it is cold not like
summer. You can play is the playground because it's summer
and it's not raining. But in winter you will play inside games.
It's a nice day to play in summer, let’s play on the monkey bars.
You can also go to the swimming pools to play or do swimming
lessons like me. You can do a BBQ to celebrate the holidays.
Our large school holiday break happens over Summer.
What fun things can we do in the holidays?
Well, Summer holidays are fun because you don't have to do
any work, you can play anything, like cards or any games you
like or go shopping or anything else that's not work. I like the
holidays the most because you don't have to do any work at all.
You can sleep in, lie on the couch, watch TV and not have to
worry about being late for class. The celebrations that you
have in the summer are Christmas and New year which are
exciting events to celebrate with family and friends. It's better
being on holiday than going to school. However, most of
Winter is `spent at school and we only have shorter holidays
between terms. Winters at school mean inside lunchtimes due
to rain. In winter days in side lunch, cancelled sports and when
you do cross country and you get really muddy. At school you
have to put your hands up to speak and sit down, you have to
listen to your teacher and follow so many rules. Whereas, in the
holidays you can ride your bike, go to the park, go swimming
and do anything else that's fun.
Third Main idea and evidence
My third and final idea is that in Summer you can wear lighter
clothes. The weather is warmer and you no longer need to rug
up and protect yourself from the cold. I think wearing lighter
clothes is better because they are easier to move in and it is
faster to get changed and unchanged. These items of clothes
are very annoying and hard to move around in. It takes forever
to get ready in the morning and parents are constantly needing
to do more washing to keep up with the amount of clothes
you’re wearing. Summer clothes include t-shirts, hats, shorts
and skirts, these items of clothing are fantastic to dress in.
Conclusion
To Sum up, Summer is the best season. It is warm and sunny.
You can do many fun and exciting things when the weather is
fine and glorious. To quote, Kellie Elmore, an American
author, "I love how summer just wraps its arms around you like
a warm blanket." So…. when Summer comes…..Get outside
and enjoy it!
