All about the Biosphere

All about the Biosphere

The biosphere is as important as life itself because it is all life. Without the biosphere the Earth would be lifeless. Imagine taking out everything that's in the biosphere, the world wouldn't even be living. The biosphere extends from underground all the way up into the sky where birds fly. 'Bio' means relating to life and living beings. Microbes, plants and insects are all examples of living things.

The biosphere is sometimes referred to as one large ecosystem. Scientists discuss general ecosystem types that they call biomes. A biome is a vast area on Earth's surface that's defined by different types of species and plants. Animals rely on all 4 spheres because without the hydrosphere nothing would grow and animals wouldn't have any homes. If 1 out of 4 spheres were gone none of the spheres would get what they need.

Conclusion:

Overall it doesn't matter what species different animals are, as long as they are living things there in the biosphere. In my opinion I believe that the biosphere is the most important out of all 4 spheres.

Descriptive Writing

      Descriptive Writing

As the mud splotches messily I cheer on the sideline. Elegantly the trees sway side to side like dancing giraffes. While I cheered them on they started to huff and puff, I was freezing like a frozen popsicle. Slowly the sky started to go gloomy and dark, I zipped up my jacket As speedy as a jet they were thriving through the course.

Furiously they launch up jumping over the weather damaged hurdle. When they jump down mud splashes. The vast field was a giant mud pit made perfectly for a bunch of pigs. I crossed my arms as the weather turned into a tsunami. It also felt like the wind was controlling me.

While the runners run, they only have 1 lap to go so I continue to cheer them on. Watching along I get splattered with mud on the leg, they turn on their fierce faces. There they ZOOM past the finish line! Everyone clapped their hands, then they've all won a victory no matter what place they have come.

Then I remembered about my winning lotto ticket, I ran out of the hospital and found my way back to the crash site. By the time I got there it wasnt found, my family and friends have been amazing. Surprise!! They even got me presents, Knock Knock. “This is for Josie,” explained the mailman. Omg, it's the winning lotto ticket! “No way!” Shouted Josie’s Family and friends. Josie turned in her ticket and got 5 million dollars!

What is a bank?

 What is a bank?

Introduction:

A bank is a safe place where you can store lots of money and you can collect it back when you need it. Banks have been around for many centuries and have been trusted ever since it was built. The purpose of a bank is to make sure your money isn't stolen and to make sure it's safe. It's also great because you can get it back at any time you want.

The bank lends you money but after a while you must pay it back. It also gives you interest by money deposited on savings accounts to lend borrowers, when you open a bank account and deposit money into it, the bank will then give it to someone else . After a year the bank pays you for depositing money. This is called interest. You can exchange money, for example you can exchange a 20 dollar note for two 10 dollar notes. Then when you open an account you can insert money into your bank account. You can also give some of your money away to earn more money, there are many banks in New Zealand. For example ASB, BNZ and ANZ.

When you borrow money from the bank you can get charged a fee. A fee is when you borrow money and you don't pay it back. You have to pay it back because the bank owns it and they just let you borrow money. At the end of the year the bank pays you 2% of the money back and the bank keeps 5% of it.

The bank is important because if we didn't have a bank we wouldn’t have coins or notes. It is also a good place to put all your savings so it doesn't get stolen. Without banks no one would be able to purchase anything, in the old days there were no banks so people had to trade their own goods for different goods. A bank is just like your own piggy bank filled with notes and coins except the bank can hold up to billions of dollars. I hope you now know what a bank is.

Bartering is a system where you trade or exchange some goods for some other goods so then you both have something. Both people has to agree on what they are exchanging because a person might not want what you gave.

Example: For and example a person wants to trade a pencil case for a stuffed toy, if one of them don't agree then you can’t go through with the trade.

knock, “hi Zara!”
“Who's this you brought along?”
“It's my pet Bon Bon(big fat bunny). Can I trade something for it?” “Hmmm what

stuffed bear and lots of mini stuffed toys.”
“No no no” exclaimed Zara. “Zoey, I don't want any of your stuffed toys or lego

fluffy and cute! Oh wait Zoey I have to go home now, sorry i'll see you at school
tomorrow bye bye. (Car parks on the driveway) Door opens “Hi Zoey” mum said

Speech - Why we should save animals from extinction

Speech Topic: Why we should save animals from extinction
Main point
Personal pronoun
Questions
Introduction:
Why we should save animals from extinction, Imagine if there were no animals alive on earth
and you must be thinking about what will happen. So I'm here to  convince you why we should
save animals from extinction. We should save animals from extinction because they're living
things just like us. We shouldn't harm them because if they went extinct, who knows what will
happen.

Main point 1:Why we should save the animals
First, if animals go extinct we and the world would be changed mainly by climate change and
extinction. I mean like what would be the point about having zoos if all the animals were extinct?
Giant pandas first became endangered in 1990 due to excessive poaching in the 80s and
deforestation, depleting their bamboo food source. Bamboo can grow extensively in
mountainous or barren lands but then die in the winter because it's too cold for the bamboo to
continue growing and survive. This forces giant pandas in those areas to relocate for their food.
I think this is super good/bad/unfair/…Disgraceful(bad)/Amazing(good)/discriminatory
(unfair) and
imagine if this was you,now do you know how it feels? The wildlife caregivers are important
because they are doing all they can to save these different species of animals, this is crucial to
the wildlife and us.

Main point 2:What will happen
For my second point, I will inform you of what would happen if our animals went extinct.
Wild forests and grasslands would die because they are adapted to rely on animal decomposers.
This would cause a loss of rainfall, atmospheric change and climate change. This is important
because grasslands and wild forest are where we get supplies from and where native things live.
Climate change is super important because Climate change can be thought of as the average or
typical weather conditions we experience. Scientists know that climate varies naturally on
many timescales and they know that people are affecting climate - particularly through e
missions of greenhouse gases. If a species has a unique function in its ecosystem, its loss can
prompt cascading effects through the food chain. You may wonder about the environment we
are in. It would be critical because our air and plants would be polluted and we would be
breathing in a huge amount of contaminated air!

Main point 3:Why it is important
It is important to save animals as healthy ecosystems depend on plant and animal species as
their foundations. Without healthy forests, grasslands, rivers, oceans and other ecosystems we
will not have clean air, water, or land. If we allow our environment to become infected we're
risking our own health. It is really important to keep these animals alive because when we
conserve and protect the natural habitat of wildlife species, we enrich our planet. To do so,
we must keep the animals in their natural place. Natural habitats will also be beneficial for
humans since it helps keep the essential watersheds intact and ensures clean, freshwater and
that's why it's important to save animals from extinction.

Conclusion: Now you know why you should save animals from extinction. I personally think that
animals shouldn’t be extinct. As I said, there are just living things like us and they should be
protected. Why would you want animals to go extinct anyways?

Thank you.

The Waking Giant

Precise noun
Descriptive adjectives and verbs
Detail
The waking giant
As the gigantic palace rumbled a rock stone giant was coming out of the smooth, even floor. The oak trees were swaying side to side elegantly like they were dancing, while the birds went chirp! chirp! Then the waking giant was full of rage and just then I heard him bellow...ROARRR! The elegant palace was shaking like in a giant earthquake!
Help!” Screamed the horrified public.

The earth was moving like crazy, windows were shattering and buildings were falling apart! After the magnificent giant was pulling itself up, his head came up then the whole body. All of a sudden a gigantic rumble shook the whole city to crumbs
Meanwhile, CRASH! Went the road, the whole entire city would be destroyed if this madness didn't stop!

ROARRRRR!! The barely destroyed city shook continually and the river was SPLASHING around like a Miniature tsunami. Seawater was gushing everywhere and the city was going to drown!
AHHH! HELP ME! the public cried loudly
CLING CLASH! There went the unstabilized palace.

The time I fell off my bike

The time I fell off my bike

I was 7 years old, living in New Zealand.  My dad and I could see the
sunny heart, warming (sun rising). I was riding my navy blue and light pink
bike around the driveway. My dad shouted, “Come inside now!” I replied
“okay!”. I felt the trees swishing side to side.

Sometime later I was riding my bike back into the small overflowed garage.
My right foot accidentally slipped and I felt a shock  coming from my leg…
SIZZLE. When I tried to stand up my legs were burning, I went back inside
as fast as I could. I was able to get inside, I told my dad that I fell off my
bike and I got a few scratches along with some bruises.

The scratches had a little bit of dark maroon blood coming out very slowly.
My dad asked me how it happened and I told him when I was putting my
bike away my left leg slipped and I crashed! Whenever I get an injury my
dad is always really worried, sometime later my amazing dad went to get
the cooling mint cream

I could smell toasted  golden sandwiches in the small, crowded, cramped
kitchen, when my dad came back I applied the mint cream on my scratches.
The burn was blazing up my leg,  it didn't feel like anything but I could feel
my blazing leg cooling down. After a few days my leg was fully fixed and
healed. The next day I felt like riding my bike again so I hopped on and
started riding like how I always used to do. Hopefully I don't come
crashing down again.

Conclusion
I never ever want to fall off my bike again!
